At BrightStar Care®, caregivers and nurses are the backbone of everything we do. Without them, we would not be able to provide such a high standard of care to our clients and their families.
The COVID-19 pandemic was a true test of the devotion health care workers have to their patients, and BrightStar Care nurses and caregivers are a perfect example. At the recent annual BrightStar Care conference, we celebrated eight of our dedicated nurses and caregivers with a new twist.
A Well-Deserved Surprise
Each year, the nurse and caregiver nominees, and franchisees, attend the BrightStar Care annual conference.
This year, for the first time, Shelly made an unprecedented decision to recognize all eight of the regional nurses and caregivers of the year as national honorees.
Tina Seever, Stephanie Fradette, Jessica Cagwin and Dawn Gonzalez were all named National Nurses of the Year, while Maricon Ocampo, Kay Madlingozi, Leah Smith and Ryan Peterson became National Caregivers of the Year.
“BrightStar Care would not be what it is today without our incredible nursing and caregiving staff, and we wholeheartedly believe that each of our regional winners were very deserving of national recognition. Our nurses and caregivers have been on the front lines of this pandemic going beyond the call of duty to keep their clients safe and comfortable,” Shelly said.
BrightStar Care® – A Higher StandardTM
When Shelly started BrightStar Care, she did so with a vision that each client receive personalized care from only the most compassionate and encouraging caregivers. This model is just one of the things that set BrightStar Care apart from other home health care franchises.
“Each of our national winners delivers care that exceeds expectations and has made a lasting impact on clients and their families as well as the BrightStar Care organization as a whole,” Shelly explained.
Each of the national winners received a $5,000 scholarship that can be used to further their education.
