Finding common ground to connect with others while still being able to express what makes us who we are. These are important aspects of the human experience and ones that we try to honor in everything we do with and for our residents.
In the spirit of connection and celebrating who we are and where we come from, this year we’ve developed an “Around the World” program. Every month, our assisted living and memory care residents will have opportunities to experience different aspects of cultures across the globe.
Each month has a different theme that touches everything we do, from our Life Enrichment programming and activities to dining and special presentations. February’s “Around the World” theme was “African Safari.” In addition to some cultural meals and events, we had some very special caregivers on our team step forward to host presentations to share about themselves, their backgrounds and do some of their own storytelling with our residents. Talk about connection!
We are looking ahead to the month of March, the theme of which will be Ireland, right in time for St. Patrick’s Day. Be sure to stay tuned for more coverage of our journey “Around the World” and see what kind of Irish fun we have in store; traditional Irish dancers and MORE! Contact us for more information, we’d love to hear from you.
